David Ray Brown, age 60, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL. David was born on February 16, 1957 in Granite City, IL, a son of the late Lloyd Ray Brown and Delores Jeannie (Hughes) Brown.
On July 2, 1977, David married Paula Fuller, the love of his life, in Granite City, IL. David was a faithful member of Calvary Life Church in Granite City, IL. He worked for Siemens PLM Software Company in the technical sales support department for many years. David enjoyed fishing and was a member of Steel City Bassmasters. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. David loved life, he loved to laugh, but most of all he loved his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
David is survived by his devoted wife, Paula Brown; loving children, Amanda (Frans) VanVoorst and Jared Brown; sister, Pam (Greg) Hines; brother, Mike Brown; grandchildren, Dustin, Damon and Danielle VanVoorst; step-grandson, Thomas VanVoorst; mother-in-law, Joyce Bodi all of Granite City, IL; brother-in-law, Steven (Linda) Fuller of Hazelwood, MO; nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, February, 20, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Life Church, 4650 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL.
In celebration of his life, funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Calvary Life Church with Pastor Mark Maynard officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.
