Wanda Anna Rinehart, age 87, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Stearns Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Granite City, IL. Wanda was born on April 13, 1931 in Lafe, AR, a daughter of the late Thomas Andrew Wahl and Hilda (Tritch) Kinon.

On January 10, 1947, Wanda married Marvin “Bo” Carl Rinehart, the love of her life, in St. Louis, MO., and Bo passed away in November of 1983. Wanda was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ferguson, MO for fifty-five years. She retired from Skinner & Kennedy Calendar Company in St. Louis, MO., after thirty years of dedicated service. Wanda loved spending holidays with her family, but her favorite holiday was Christmas. She also enjoyed working in her yard and planting flowers. Wanda loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by a son, Rick Rinehart; daughter, Judith Cooper; brother, Alvin Wahl; and by her sister, Myra Thommason.

Wanda is survived by her loving children, Robert Rinehart of Granite City, IL, Ron Rinehart of Dunedin, FL, Nancy (Tom) Colbert of Mitchell, IL, Janet Rinehart of Granite City, IL, Linda (Kevin) Brinkmeyer of Granite City, IL, Penny Dummitt of Mitchell, IL, Pam Moran of Mitchell, IL and Dan (June) Rinehart of Mitchell, IL; brother, Eugene Kinon of Wood River, IL; son-in-law, Rick Cooper of Olathe, KS; proud grandmother to sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL.

In celebration of her life, funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL, with Pastor Gary Steffaniak officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.

Memorial donations may be given to Disabled American Veterans. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
