Terri Koelker, age 69, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at her home, with her loving family by her side. Terri was born on October 21, 1947, in Granite City, IL, a daughter of the late Alfred “Gene” Frith and Nadine (LeMaster) Frith.
On March 14, 1970, Terri Frith married Ralph “Bud” Koelker, the love of her life, in St. Louis, MO. Terri was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She also attended Tri-City Assembly of God Church and was an active member of Season Saints. She had retired as a GS 13 from the Department of Defense in St. Louis, MO as a software engineer. After retirement, Terri worked ten years for Computer Science Corporation as a system analyst. Terri enjoyed sewing, scrap booking and quilting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Terri loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Terri was preceded in death by her brother, Rickey Frith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Grace Koelker; one granddaughter, Johnna; one great-grandson, Brody; sister-in-law, Marce Manning and by one brother-in-law, David Koelker.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Ralph Koelker of Granite City, IL; loving daughters, Sherrie (John) Baker of Granite City, IL, Sara (Chris) Delatte of Imperial, MO and Cassie (Mike Redden) Koelker of Granite City, IL; dear sister, Becky (Kenny) Shipp of Granite City, IL; proud granny to Sara Kate, Zachary, Jacob, Nick, Rylie, Jordan, Julie, Jack and Josephine and seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara (Bob) Hahn of TX; aunt, Alma (Chuck) Buente of Granite City, IL; many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL.
In celebration of her life, funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL, with Rev. Barry Shepherd officiating. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Granite City, IL, with Father Zachary Edgar officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
Memorial donations may be given to Shriners Hospital for Children or to Siteman Cancer Center. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
