Ruth Frances (Carman) Wilimzig1919-2011, Ruth Frances (Carman) Wilimzig, 92, of Pensacola, FL passed away Friday, December 30, 2011. She was born in St. Louis, MO on October 6, 1919. She retired from St. Louis Union Trust Co. in 1985 as an office clerk. She was employed as a welder at American Steel Co. in Granite City, IL, during World War II welding on large guns and tanks. Her hobbies were reading, knitting and crocheting. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Pensacola. Mrs. Wilimzig is preceded in death by her husband, Frank William Wilimzig; her father and mother, William Alfred and Anna (Vazis) Carman; her brother, Norman Carman; her sisters, Lillian Garcia, Myrtle Clark and Edna Weise. Survivors include her sons, Frank Edgar (Marsha) Wilimzig of Pensacola and Norman Joseph (Karla) Wilimzig of Mt. Vernon, IL; and a daughter, Carol Ann (George) Demkey of White Lake, SD; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; as well as 2 nieces and one nephew. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service to begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church on 9th Ave. in Pensacola, FL with Pastor Stephen Linck officiating. Visitation will be held 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon Monday, January 9, 2012 at Irwin Chapel on Madison Ave. in Granite City, IL with a Graveside Service to follow at 12:45 PM at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. She will then be interred with her husband.
