Henry Raymond “Ricky” Ybarra, 56, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 12:21 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He was born February 25, 1961 in Granite City, a son of the late Salvador and Esther (Munoz) Ybarra.
He married Amanda L. (Bilderback) Ybarra on March 15, 2001 in Edwardsville and she survives.
He worked at Prairie Farms with 33 years of dedicated service as a dairy worker.
He was a member of the Teamster’s Local #525 and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
He was a very talented musician and vocalist and had been a collector of model trains through the years. Ricky will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by a son, Joseph Ybarra of Granite City; two daughters, Stephanie Ybarra of Granite City and Amber Clark of Granite City; two grandchildren, Jorden Whittington and Bethany Biggs; five brothers and sisters and their spouses, Celia Lomax of Union, Missouri, Fred and Jane Ybarra of Reed Springs, Missouri, Joe and Jennifer Ybarra of Granite City, Esther Ybarra of Granite City and Luis and Phyllis Ybarra of Granite City; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carmen Dickerson and Theresa Donaldson.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Jeff Holtman as celebrant.
Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and may be accepted at the funeral home.
