Ralph Edward Harrison, age 69, of Pensacola, FL, formerly of Granite City, IL, passed away at his home on Friday, September 7, 2018. Ralph was born on October 15, 1948 in Granite City, IL, a son of the late Earl Harrison and Clara (Woltz) Harrison.
Ralph was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army and Navy. On May 19, 1973, Ralph married Deborha Clark, the love of his life in St. Louis, MO. Ralph retired from Honeywell International as a Senior Technician Representative after many years of dedicated service. Ralph was a member of the American Legion and he enjoyed working on computers, canoeing and swimming. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Ralph loved life, he loved to laugh, but most of all he loved his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by two brothers in infancy and by one sister, Rosie Ensor.
He is survived by his devoted wife of forty-five years, Deborha Harrison of Pensacola, FL; loving children, Jamie (Jason) McCay of Granite City, IL, Justin (Una) Harrison of Pace, FL and Joshua Harrison of Pensacola, FL; proud grandfather to Jordan Harrison of Pace, FL, Jace Harrison of Pace, FL, and Brittany (Harley) Monroe of Alton, IL; dear sibilings, Richard Harrison of Granite City, IL, Donald Harrison of Collinsville, IL, Sis Wagner of Mission Hills, CA, Linda Tenant of Gallaway, OH, Ruth Harrison of Granite City, IL, Jeanie Garber of Granite City, IL, Betty Crone of Granite City, IL, Marilyn Burdzilauskas of Granite City, IL, Patricia (Pat) Jeske of Festus, MO and Barbara (Bernt) Pettersson of Houston, TX; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL.
In celebration of his life, funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.
Memorial donations may be given to John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
