Pauline E. Roberson, 88 of Granite City, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Stearns Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Granite City.
Pauline was born on February 9, 1931 in Crocker, MO; the daughter of the late Leslie and Fern (Ferguson) Walters. Pauline was a supply manager for the United States Army at Melvin Price Support Center in Granite City and a member of Unity Baptist Church. Pauline will be remembered for the love of her family and all the special times they shared together.
Pauline is survived by and will be missed by her daughter; Elaine (James) Fay of St. Louis; grandchildren, Ryan Wilkinson, Tracie (Tim) Hylla; great-grandchildren, Sophia Hylla, Mason Hylla, Brennan Hylla; sister, Katherine Burgess; special friend, John Roberson; many nieces, and nephews and the very special Mihalavich family; John (Susan) Mihalavich, Don (Carol) Mihalavich, Robert (Jane) Mihalavich, Jenny M. (Tony) Smith, Ricky (Connie) Mihalavich.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her brothers, Don Walters, Clinton Walters, Wayne Walters, Marlin Walters.
In keeping with Pauline’s wishes, she will be cremated and laid to rest at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Granite City A.P.A., 5000 Old Alton Road, Granite City, IL 62040.
