Pat L. Tracy, 76, of Maryville, Illinois passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at her home.
She was born July 26, 1941 in East Prairie, Missouri, a daughter of the late John and Jewell (Rushing) Mordis Sr.
She married Edward Tracy on July 17, 1959 in Belleville, Illinois and he survives.
She retired from the United States Post Office in St. Louis after many years of dedicated service as a general manager.
She attended Bethel Chapel in Troy and enjoyed her days of traveling. She cherished her grandchildren and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Timothy Tracy of Ellington, Missouri and Chris and Julie Tracy of Troy, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Aarika, Kimberly, Summer, Wyatt, Ellen, Sophie and Isaac; three great grandchildren, Kaylee, Josh and Tim; a precious grandson, Patrick (Chen Zhi Xing), living at Maria’s Big House of Hope in the People’s Republic of China; three brothers and a sister-in-law, John Mordis Jr. of Fairview Heights, Lexie Mordis of St. Louis, Missouri and Gary and Anne Mordis of Shipman; one sister, Joyce Dietzel of New Athens; two sisters-in-law, Donna Mordis of Maryville and Pat Mordis of DeSoto, Missouri; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Glen Mordis, Chester Mordis, Richard Mordis, Jimmie Mordis and Elton Mordis; two sisters, Linda Faye Mordis and Debbie Graham; two sisters-in-law, Judy Mordis and Betty Mordis and a brother-in-law, Edward Dietzel.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 with Reverend Tim Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville.
