Mary K. Arnold 89, of St. Louis formerly of Granite City passed from this life on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Friendship Village in St. Louis. Mary was born on August 6, 1922 in St. Louis to Hubert T. & Kathryn E. (Brinker) Arnold. She was a long time executive at Ralston Purina. She was of catholic faith and volunteered many hours of her time to the Lady of the Snows in Belleville and at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Louis. She was proud of being a member of the Dubourg Society at St. Louis University. Mary is survived by and will be missed by her sisters; Lillian Arnold of St. Louis and Ruth Rotter of Glen Carbon; brother, Hubert T. & (Joan) Arnold of Wood River, IL as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Jeff Holtman officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
