Mary A. Turner, 67 of Glen Carbon, Illinois passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Mary was born on August 3, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri; the daughter of the late Dayton O. and Ida Mae (McCroskey) Ballard. Mary was a medical technologist at the Springfield Clinic. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Edwardsville, Illinois and loved all animals. Mary loved her family and will be remembered for all the special times they shared together.

Mary is survived by and will be missed by her husband; Richard L. Turner, whom she married on November 19, 1983; her sisters, Susan and Bob Hendricks of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Jane and Ralph Armacost of Owings Mills, Missouri; her nephews, Jeffrey Hendricks, Christopher Bell, Brian Bell.

Visitation for Mary will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon. In celebration of her life, visitation will continue on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rob Schneider officiating at Calvary Baptist Church, 2249 South State Route 157 in Edwardsville. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Memorials in Mary’s name are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church in Edwardsville.
