Marie R. Jezioro, 91, of Mt. Vernon and formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 4:05 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at her home.
She was born June 12, 1926 in Granite City, the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Juhasz) Vizer Sr.
She retired from the Granite City Army Depot after many years of dedicated service as a clerk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Jezioro and two brothers, Louis Vizer Jr. and Jack Vizer.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Cheryl O’Shia of Moreno Valley, California; two grandsons, Patrick O’Shia and Marty O’Shia; two granddaughters, Kim Homburger and Tracie Kilton; a great grandson, Tucker O’Shia; a sister-in-law, Olga Vizer; a niece, Sheila; two nephews, Craig and Mark; other extended family and friends.
In celebration of her life and in honor of her wishes, a graveside service will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2910 South State Route 157 in Edwardsville on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Deacon Mike Melton officiating.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
