Lee Davis, 91, of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Illinois
Lee was born on August 31, 1926 in Lawrenceville, Illinois; the son of the late Lyman Davis and Marie (McKee) Sager. Lee was an accountant, retiring from the United States Postal Data Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He was an active member of Niedringhaus United Methodist Church in Granite City, Illinois and in his free time Lee enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Davis on October 9, 2015.
He is survived by and will be missed by his daughters; Terri Davis (Martin Fiedler) of Granite City, Illinois, Denise McKee of Granite City, Illinois; his grandson, Matthew McKee of Granite City, Illinois; was “Pop” to Abigail and Zachary; brother-in-law, Robert Burns of Lompoc, California; special family friend, Charlotte Clay and numerous nieces, nephews and many other extended family members and friends.
In celebration of Lee’s life, a memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. at Niedringhaus United Methodist Church, 1311 20th Street in Granite City, Illinois with Pastor Tim Wynne and Pastor John Walters officiating. Memorials are suggested to Niedringhaus United Methodist Church. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, Illinois is serving the family.
