Kathryn M. "Miss Kay" Baringer, 94 of Glen Carbon, formerly of Enterprise, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Eden Village in Glen Carbon. Kathryn was born on February 14, 1919 in Shiloh, GA. She was a life long homemaker, mother and grandmother. Her and her husband were founding members of the Heritage United Methodist Church in Enterprise, AL and in her later years she attended New Bethel United Methodist Church in Glen Carbon.
She is survived by and will be missed by her daughter; Cynthia and (LeRoy) Horvath of Glen Carbon; son, Richard and (Donna) Baringer of Pineville, LA; five grandchildren, Lee and (Christy) Horvath, Stephen Horvath, Michael and (Beth) Horvath, Katie and (Mike) Rogers, Heather Baringer; four great-grandchildren, Trevor Horvath, Mikayla Horvath, Caleb Horvath, Claire Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Henry J. Baringer IV, whom she married on June 6, 1946 in Columbus, GA; her parents, George and Carrie (Bishop) Moore; four sisters and one brother.
In celebration of her life private family services will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the charity of one's choice. Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon is serving the family.
