Kasandra “Kassie” (Hillmer) Clark, age 28, of Springfield, MO, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Cox Medical Center, Springfield, MO. Kassie was born on September 14, 1990 in Granite City, IL.

On September 5, 2013, Kassie married James Edward “Eddie” Clark Jr., the love of her life in Port Orchard, WA. Kassie worked as a judges clerk at the Greene County Courthouse in Springfield, MO. She enjoyed spending time with her family and keeping in contact with her many dear friends on Facebook. Kassie never met a stranger, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She even told her family that if anything ever happened to her that she wanted to be an organ donor. By her gracious gift three individual lives were saved, including a little girl from St. Louis. Kassie loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kassie was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Hillmer.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Eddie Clark of Springfield, MO; dear son, Henry Jameson Clark; parents, Keith Hillmer of Ozark, MO and Sharon (Wells) Hillmer of Jerseyville, IL; father-in-law, James Clark Sr. of Collinsville, IL; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary Beth and Gerald Fischer of Godfrey, IL; grandmother, Norma Hillmer of Granite City, IL; brothers, Keith, Jonathan, Jayce and Reece Hillmer; brothers-in-law, Gary Clark and Brogan Fischer; extended family and many wonderful friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road, Glen Carbon, IL.

In celebration of her life, funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Irwin Chapel, Glen Carbon, IL. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL.

Memorial donations may be given to the family to start a trust fund for Henry.
