Joseph S. Fedora, 86, of Avon Park, Florida, formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his home.
Joseph was born on June 6, 1931 in Madison, Illinois; the son of the late Joseph G. and Catherine (Crnkovich) Fedora. Joseph was the athletic director at Granite City School District #9 and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City, Illinois.
Joseph is survived by and will be missed by his wife; Evelyn J. (Martin) Fedora, whom he married on October 27, 1956; his children; Jolene (Johnny) Roberts of Germantown, Tennessee, Joseph Jay (Cathy) Fedora of St. Louis, Missouri, Jeffrey S. Fedora of Port Orange, Florida; his grandchildren, Jacob (Allie) Roberts, Joshua Roberts, Jason Roberts, Mary Fedora, Matthew Fedora, Sage Parrish Fedora; his great-grandchildren, Morgan Roberts, Caelyn Roberts.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette Liddle.
Friends may call on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of Joseph’s life, services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Jeff Holtman officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville. Memorial donations may be made to Extreme St. Louis Charitable Foundation, 14240 Manchester Road, Manchester, MO 63011.
