James Isaac Williams, Jr.
Born July 8, 1923 in Stuart County, Tennessee
Jim lived in Granite City all his life until he and his wife, Betty retired and moved to Ocala, FL. where they lived together until moving back to Granite City in Nov. 2010. Jim and Betty were married for 67 years on New Years Eve, 2010.
Jim was a retired Postal Inspector and had served in the Army. He was a devoted member of the Neidringhaus United Methodist Church in Granite City, and the Ocala West United Methodist Church in Ocala, FL. He was also very active in Rotary and served as bell ringer for the Salvation Army, which he loved. Jim graduated from St. Louis University on February 5, 1949. He loved to "throw" the yo-yo with his grandkids and was a master ping pong player.
Surviving are his family.
His wife, Betty Hornberger Williams, who now resides at Fountainview Manor in Granite City.

and grandsons Stephen Brink, and Matthew Brink, wife Kerry and two great grand children, Kailey and Addie.
Daughter Barbara and husband, Jerry Lapinski, and grand daughter Kristin Green and husband Todd. Liam Green is Granpa's great grandson.
Son, Glenn Williams and wife, Sandy. Grandchildren, Kelly and husband Mark Marino
Grand daughter, Jackie and husband Zach Vize.
Grandson, Brent Williams
Daughter June and husband Kevin Zesch,
grand daughter, Natalie Zesch, and grand son, Kory Zesch.
