Frank P. Schwaller, age 69, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Evelyn’s House, St. Louis, MO. Frank was born on September 26, 1948 in Normandy, MO, a son of the late Frank Schwaller Sr. and Betty (Morian) Schwaller.
Frank was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army. On July 25, 1969, Frank married Pattie Siebert, the love of his life, in Granite City, IL. Pattie passed away on August 8, 2003. Frank retired as a furnace operator from Olin Brass in Alton, IL, after many years of dedicated service. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren, whom he adored. Frank loved life, he loved to laugh, but most of all he loved his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents and wife, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Suzie Schwaller.
He is survived by his loving children, Melissa (Jeremy) Hahn of Mt. Zion, IL and Jonathan Schwaller of Granite City, IL; dear brother, Michael (Laura) Schwaller of Florissant, MO; proud grandfather to Hailey Hahn and Emily Hahn both of Mt. Zion, IL; extended family and many friends.
In celebration of his life, a memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL.
Memorial donations may be given to American Red Cross and donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
