Forrest Carl Wilson Jr. 74, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 12:52 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.
He was born September 2, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Forrest Carl and Juanita Mae (Martin) Wilson.
He married Patricia Sue (Mabus) Wilson in July 1969 in St. Louis and she preceded him in death on April 23, 2013.
He retired from Truck Transport after 30 years of dedicated service as a truck driver with the Teamsters Local of St. Louis.
He enjoyed his days of fishing and cherished his grandchildren. He will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and William Peck of Granite City; a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Johnna Wilson of Granite City; three grandchildren, Zachary Wilson, Jacob Peck and Dylan Wilson; a sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and David McQuay of Granite City; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Ronald Wilson of Imperial, Missouri, Larry and Linda Wilson of Granite City, Paul and Dolores Wilson of Steelville, Missouri, Harry and Fay Wilson of Herculaneum and Gary Wilson of Herculaneum; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Wilson and two brothers, John and Keith Wilson.
According to her wishes, there will be no visitation or services and cremation will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation and may be accepted at the funeral home.
