Obituary

Earl E. Worthey, 90, of Granite City, IL, born January 18, 1927, in Bogota, IL, died Sunday, April 30, 2017, in Mascoutah, IL.
Mr. Worthey is an Army veteran. Worked for Illinois Power as a linemen foreman for 40 years before retiring in 1988. He was a member of the American Legion, Amvets, Masonic Lodge 835, and a Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ida, nee Gibson, Worthey; first wife, Martha, nee Houser, Gill; second wife, Patricia, nee McFarland, Kisner; and sister, Lola Beal.
Surviving are his son, Robert (Susan) Worthey of Birmingham, AL; daughter, Becky Worthey of Mt. Vernon, IL; step daughter, Cyndi Huff of Fairview Heights, IL; step son, Jerry Carey of Mt. Vernon, IL; brother, Floyd (Judy) Worthey of Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren, Tyson Leek, Derek Worthey, Rachel Worthey, and Grant Huff; and great grandchild, Audrey Land.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.

Funeral: A service with military honors will be held at 9:00 a.m., on Monday, May 8, 2017, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, with Rev. Clint Wisdom officiating.
