Debra Y. Earthal, 56, of Maryville, Illinois passed away at 4:23 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
She was born December 11, 1960 in Granite City, a daughter of Jeanette E. (Moller) Krug of Glen Carbon and the late Kenneth H. Johnson.
She married Larry W. Earthal on July 5, 2003 in Collinsville and he survives. Debra worked as an administrative assistant with Titan Tube Fabricators in St. Louis.
She was a very talented event coordinator and was the owner and operator of Beautiful Beginnings and Events. She had planned and decorated many events throughout the area with her creative and unique touches.
She also enjoyed her days of camping and boating and spending time with her grandchildren. She was very dedicated to her family and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Brad Kimes of St. Charles, Missouri and Toni and Chris Crunk of Collinsville; three grandchildren, Christopher Crunk, Hunter Crunk and Finley Kimes; a brother, Kenneth Johnson of Glen Carbon; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Renee and Sean McElligott of Edwardsville and Lisa and Fuzzy Mettille of O’Fallon, Illinois; many nieces; nephews; cousins; other extended family and many friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a step-father, Karl Krug.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 with Father Patrick Gibbons officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be accepted at the funeral home.
