Obituary

Deborah L. Williams, 63 of Granite City passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City.

Deborah was born on January 21, 1951 in Granite City, the daughter of the late Herschel Tellor. She was the long time Director of Public Relations for the St. Louis Boy Scout Council and later at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City. Deborah was a 1969 graduate of Granite City High School and later went on to earn a bachelors degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Journalism and Anthropology. Formerly she served on the Board of Directors at Cahokia Mounds Museum. She will be remembered for her kind heart and the special loved she shared with her family.

She is survived by and will be missed by her husband; Kenneth Williams; sisters, Lisa Kelly, Robin Tellor; brother, Roger Tellor; aunt, Martha (Ellet) York; mother, Mildred (Ellet) Tellor.

Following Deborah's wishes she will be cremated and the family will hold private services at a later date. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City is serving the family.
