Dale E. Wilson, 72 of Granite City passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
Dale was born on March 29, 1944; a son to the late Alford Floyd and Jessie Virginia (Neidhardt) Wilson. Dale was a letter carrier for 30 years, retiring in 1999. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and will be remembered for his kind heart and all the special times he shred with his family and friends.
He is survived by and will be missed by his wife; Sandra (Giffin) Wilson, whom he married on May 7, 1965; his children, Tracy and (Paul) Papp of Nashville, IL, Lisa and (Jeff) Cauble of Granite City, IL, Craig and (Laura) Wilson of Nashville, IL; grandchildren, Jeffrey Cauble, Seth Cauble, Amber Wilson, Brett Wilson, Dale Papp, Justin Wilson; great-grandchildren, Trevor Cauble, Isabella Cauble, Makayla Cauble, Abby Cauble, Michael Weeks Jr.; nieces, Angela Zywicki, Darla Greer; nephew, Christopher Greer.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his sister, Marian Joyce Favier.
In celebration of Dale's life, friends may call on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Cook officiating at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
