Andrew P. "A-Money" Wilson, 31 of Granite City passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at his home.
Andrew was born on February 11, 1985 in Maryville, IL. He was well known server at Ravanelli's Restaurant in Granite City. Andrew enjoyed music and doing DJ gigs around town. He loved to follow politics and never missed a chance to share his views with his family or friends. In his free time Andrew liked working out, listening to music and watching movies. But most of all he loved to spend time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his generous heart and all the special times he shared with his family.
He is survived by and will be missed by his dad and mom; Fred S. Wilson and Cheryl A. (Zessinger) Wilson both of Granite City; his sister, Casey Wilson of Granite City; grandparents, Lloyd P. Wilson and Kathryn Wilson and JoAnn Hoch of Granite City; aunts and uncles, Rich and (Penny) Wilson of Granite City, Brian Wilson of Granite City, Mark and (Lynn) Wilson of Granite City, Karen Wilson of St. Charles, MO, Jerry and (Debbie) Zessinger of Maryville, IL; best friend, Candice Hildreath; childhood friends, Brad Bigham and Jared Doolittle and many other close family members and friends.
Andrew was preceded in death by his sister; Tara Ann Wilson and his great-grandma, Hattie Rhoethli.
Friends may call on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of Andrew's life, service will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Road in Granite City. Memorials are suggested to the Granite City A.P.A.
