Albert Artimisi, 94, of Collinsville, Illinois passed away at 4:05 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Eden Village in Glen Carbon.
He was born April 10, 1923 in Collinsville, a son of the late Angelo and Cornia (Pesucei) Artimisi.
He married Frances (Barker) Artimisi on October 7, 1995 in Maryville and she survives.
He retired from A.O. Smith in Granite City after many years of dedicated service as a supervisor. He also volunteered for several years at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
He enjoyed his days of bowling and dancing and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by two daughters, Michele (Frank) Haislar-Rook and Freddie (Louie) Hartmann; six grandchildren, Stephanie Haislar, Benjamin (Karen) Haislar, Stanley (Stephanie) Morgan, Chris (Vicky) Morgan, Angie (Andy) Hentz and Stephie Osburn; six great grandchildren, Tyler Haislar, Eli Haislar, Logan Morgan, Mary Lorraine Hentz, Sarah Hentz and Charlie Hentz; other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Artimisi; stepson, Gary David; granddaughter, Becca Morgan and several brothers and sisters.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
A funeral mass will be held at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Joseph Havrilka as celebrant.
Burial will be at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville.
Memorials may be made to Mother of Perpetual Help Church, Faith in Action in Collinsville or Unity Hospice and may be accepted at the funeral home.
